We use the right glass for the job (toughened, laminated or standard), matched to the opening and how it is used. Shower screens, splashbacks and balustrades are toughened safety glass to AS 1288, so they are far stronger than ordinary glass and, where required, meet the standards for bathrooms, cooktops and fall protection.
